“MiradasDoc is an International Documentary Film Festival which gives preference to documentary films on social subjects and to those produced or shot in developing countries and the third world, as well as to those which deal with subjects such as north-south relations and emerging social processes in the first world, etc. The festival is structured along three main lines: festival, market and training and each one of those lines includes in turn a series of events related with reality cinema.
1.- International Guía de Isora Documentary Film Festival. It is divided into an official section and a number of information sections. The official section, in which the competing films take part, is divided into three main prizes:
-International, which is split up into full-length film, short film and first work,
The information sections are subject to variation each year and can be consulted in the corresponding section of this web site.
2.- Market. This is grouped around the pitching and screening sessions. See the section of the web site devoted expressly to the market. It also offers training, professional talks, production advice, etc.
3.- Training. This year there is going to be major restructuring of the training section. Soon the catalogue will be ready with the training options for this 8th Edition.”
