Antonio Grunfeld is director and director of photography specialized in social issues.
He has lived in Guinea-Bissau from 2011 to 2015, where he has directed several documentaries: “En Clave de Vida”, a piece of environmental awareness that has been broadcast on National TV and schools in Equatorial Guinea for several years, Non-affective psychosis, “a short documentary on mental health for the Spanish Cooperation Agency (AECID) and” El secreto del Bosque “(2016), the first documentary ever recorded in Equatorial Guinea. This documentary tries to sensitize the importance of taking care of the forests and protected areas of Equatorial Guinea.
He has directed the photography of three short films on HIV themes for UNICEF and the short film “Lámpara” with ACIGE (Equatorial Guinea Film Association), which won the jury prize at the South South Cinema Festival of Equatorial Guinea in 2013.
In Spain he worked as an illuminator in Canal + and as a director in the advertising production Visual Noise in Madrid. He is also a founding partner of the NGO Waka Films Communication for Social Change. Based in A Coruña. Specialized in the visualization of social projects.
Since 2010 he collaborates voluntarily with the NGO AGARESO (Reporters Gallegos Solidarios) in projects in Madrid, Tangier, El Salvador, Guatemala …. For AGARESO he co-scripted the documentary “Camiños de Paz” shot in Palestine which won the Estela Solidaria prize for the Camino de Santiago Film and TV Festival.
