An African mestizo arrives in a secluded town in Colombia where he finds a syncretic martial art, fencing of machete and bordón, a discipline whose history will allow him – and us with him – to discover himself as the heir of one of the most interesting cultural events in Latin America .

Carlos Walter Rojas. Director of Film and Television of the EICTV of San Antonio de Los Baños (Cuba). He has worked as a scriptwriter, director and editor in different formats and genres: the short film, the documentary, the video clip, the serial web, multimedia and sound fiction. Screenwriter of the feature films “Derecho de Asilo”, by Octavio Cortázar; and “Chapter 66”, by Raúl Ruiz and Luis Ospina; director and scriptwriter of the documentary series “Tierra Posible” (Ministry of Education of Colombia) and “Lo propio” (Ministry of Culture of Colombia). He is currently post-producing his first full-length documentary “Las siete paradas”.

Fundación Escuela de Cine La Rural. La Rural Film School Foundation is a non-profit organization in Colombia. It currently develops several audiovisual proposals including “Las guerras del agua”, directed by Carlos Moreno, and “Las siete paradas” (feature film in post-production) by Carlos Walter Rojas, scholarship of the Ministry of Culture of the city of Cali.
