Six trips to six communities lost between the dry lands and the very large Lake Enriquillo. A mosaic of stories of women from the Dominican countryside, where they live within the limits set by the very society for which they care, for which they fight and from which they expect a response.

WENDY P. ESPINAL is a filmmaker and cultural manager who graduated from the School of Arts and Communication UNAPEC (2003) and the Erasmus Mundus Masters Degree in History and Cultural Heritage She has worked on many cultural and audio-visual projects. The short films Cosecha / Harvest, Alimento / Food, and Mujeres tierra are her first works as a filmmaker and form a three-part documentary of rural life in the Dominican Republic.

MIJAÍL PERALTA is a Dominican journalist and filmmaker. He graduated in Screenwriting and Documentary Development from the Film Institute of Madrid (Spain) and the Film School of Chile (Santiago de Chile). He has written and directed fiction and documentary short films including Mujeres tierra / Women of the earth; Alimento / Food, and Campeón / Champion.
