SANTIAGO ESTEINOU is a documentary filmmaker and producer form Mexico City. He studied filmmaking in Mexico´s Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica and later got an M.F.A in Media Arts form Temple University and a P.C. in Entertainment Media Management form New York University. Fulbright grantee 2008, Santiago has directed the documentaries Los Años de Fierro and Dolor Crónico.

The Years of Fierro tells the story of César Fierro, the oldest Mexican prisoner on death row in the United States. César has been kept waiting for over 30 years for the date of his execution, all the while insisting that he is innocent. This documentary is a reflection on justice, incarceration and brotherly love, told through the eyes of César and his brother, Sergio. These two brothers hope to meet again one day, despite time and
distance.
