In Centro Havana, Tomás and Luis built a home in their own terms – Beatles’ posters share the space with a pet chicken and a dog. After 28 years together, the couple still lives under the same roof but doesn’t seem to fit in the same room anymore. Daily tasks reveal the distance between both men, each inside his own territory.

Aldemar Matias (1985, Manaus) is a film director graduate of EICTV (Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV de Cuba). Matias’ work has been honored internationally with several awards including the Jury First Prize of DocumentaMadrid. Parente (2011), his documentary about HIV testing in the Yanomami and Tikuna villages in the Amazon, was funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and was acquired by the Brazilian Ministry of Health for screenings in London and Barcelona. El Enemigo (2015), his latest film, had its world premiere at Visions du Réel and was selected in Biarritz, San Sebastián, Tel Aviv, Doc Buenos Aires, Trinidad+Tobago, among others.
