AFRICAN BEAT, A JOURNEY TO THE ROOTS OF CHAMPETA

Lucas Silva. Filmmaker and scriptwriter. Since 1996, I have been making documentaries about Afro culture and heritage in Colombia, including Los Hijos de Benkos (2000), and Los Reyes Criollos de la Champeta. In 2019, I released my first short fiction film DIVINAS MELODIAS. In 2020 I finished my feature-length documentary RAPSODIA NEGRA (1h23) and I am currently preparing a feature-length fiction project.
