Aimed to: African and Latin American filmmakers

Workshop and pitching addressed to:

-African filmmakers/producers who are developing their documentary project in Africa and focus on topics about Africa or its relationship with Latin America.

 

-Latin American filmmakers/producers who are developing a documentary coproduction between Africa and Latin America or whose topic links these two geographical areas.

 

In 2017, the MiradasDoc Festival launched the Africa-Latin America Coproduction Forum “AFROLATAM”. Its main objectives are to promote the development of documentaries between the two regions, foster collaboration between their professionals and facilitate opening up to new international markets.

 

Those responsible for the projects will have the opportunity to present them to purchasers, producers, distributors, festivals and potential sponsors, and they will have a personalised schedule of meetings.

 

8 projects will be selected to participate in Afrolatam lab. The grant includes: Participation in the Afrolatam workshop with expert consultant Claudia Rodríguez Valencia. The right of producers or directors to present their project in the pitching sessions and the subsequent one-to-one meetings. Accreditation and catalogue of Miradasdoc Market.
