In 1982 the director of a psychiatric hospital and a Mapuche shaman join forces to provide new solutions for their patients. But the treatments are too experimental for the inhabitants of the region and the hospital splits up. Today, the empty spaces of that hospital are no longer a fond memory.
Juan Manuel Bugarín – He studied cinematography and dramaturgy. In 2017 he attended a workshop with Werner Herzog and filmed his short film Campo Magnético.
He directed two documentaries Melo, Iberlucea, Lamadrid (2017) and Puerto Deseado (2022).
He teaches Documentary Film at CUSAM, located in the 48th Unit of José León Suarez.
