We follow the footsteps of Marisa Padrón, the leading actor in La hija del Mestre, the second full-length film produced in the Canary Islands and a huge success the year it was released, 1928. After several years being linked to the sociocultural life of Gran Canaria, she shut herself away in the post-war period. Through unique archive material, the documentary also explores female painters, writers and editors of a journal that annihilated, in a silent revolution, the narrow space assigned to women on the island.
