As the extreme right gains power in his country, an Argentinian filmmaker confronts his prejudices in the complex task of portraying the inhabitants of the Falklands. The territory, still in dispute after the ’82 war against the UK, becomes the backdrop of an unthinkable friendship with the “enemy”.

Pablo Aparo. is a graduate of Image and Sound Design from the University of Buenos Aires. Together with Martín Benchimol, he co-directed the documentaries La gente del río, which received special mentions at DocsDF and Flandes, and El espanto. Both had their Argentine premiere at BAFICI, but the latter also won the Metropolitan Fund for the Arts. It premiered internationally at IDFA, Holland, where it received the award for Best Documentary of the competition in 2017. It also won Best Documentary at Krakow, Jury Award at Guadalajara and New Talent Award at Docs Barcelona. He is currently producing his third feature documentary titled Los Vencedores about the inhabitants of the Malvinas Islands.
