Marcel Beltrán. Is an emerging Cuban filmmaker living in Brazil. He is Mediocielo Films founder and a facilitator of sustainability practices within the arts, exploring environmentally and ecologically-focused issues. His films were selected in festivals worldwide as IDFA, MoMA Documentary Fortnight, DOCNY, Hot Docs, RIDM, FIDBA, Documenta Madrid, DOK Leipzig, Locarno, Málaga, SANFIC, FICG, and many others. He has participated at venues including Rotterdam Lab, Berlinale Talents and Locarno Open Doors Hub 2022.

Marcel graduated in film studies at the University of the Arts (La Habana) and has a degree in Documentary at the EICTV, Cuba. In 2012 received a scholarship through the ELAP program of the University of Concordia in Montreal (Canada). Currently he is a consultant for project development and teaches at the EICTV (Cuba) and Chavón (Dominican Republic).
