Two brothers who managed to escape a Soviet work camp are unable to stay away from each other. They have a love-hate relationship. One of them is an artist; the other is a pragmatic scientist.

Wojciech Staron (born 1973) is not someone who tries to draw attention to himself; his stories and their protagonists are his priority. His cinematography lacks easy solutions and over-the-top effects. Instead of opting for fake ornaments, he seeks greater depth in the images. His film Argentinian Lesson is one of Poland’s most awarded documentaries in recent decades.
