Kissinger is the former leader of a drug trafficking gang. Music has enabled him to break away from a violent lifestyle that nearly destroyed his family. Through his story, we will discover his salvation process via art.

Andrés Tudela, director, producer and script-writer. In 2019, his feature-length documentary project El cantante de Champeta was awarded the IDARTES grant to create the feature-length documentary. That same year, the project was selected for the Ibermedia Laboratory for the development of Filma Afro Documentary Projects, where it was awarded best project; and in the 15th edition of the Lau Haizetara Forum of Documentary Coproduction which will be held as part of the 67th edition of the Sant Sebastian Film Festival, in 2020. In 2018, the short-film Ausencia premiered and was screened at over 25 national and international festivals.

Malta Cine premiered its first feature-length film Gordo, Calvo y Bajito (2011) in renowned festivals such as San Sebastian, Chicago, BAFICI, Warsaw, Cartagena, Biarritz, Shanghai, Goa, La Habana and Lima in a circuit comprising over 100 locations. The second feature length film Sin Mover los Labios (2016) was presented at the festivals of Stockholm, Cartagena, Brasilia, among many others. El Concursante (2017), the third feature-length film was short-listed for the Cannes Film Festival Atelier, and was in the official selection of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and the Chicago Latino Film Festival.
