Through a visually stunning and heartbreakingly sincere memory, a young woman walks among the landscapes of her childhood and explores a life coloured by beauty and disease. From the mighty Canadian Rockies Most of us don’t live there draws a link between nature, the human mind and the urge for a new definition of what a mental illness is.

LAURA MARIE WAYNE is a musician, scholar and filmmaker from Canada. She holds degrees from Mount Allison University and the University College of London, England. Upon departing from academia,Laura ventured east, where she spent several years exploring India and Southeast Asia through the lens of her camera. Laura is currently a documentary director at the International School of Film and Television (EICTV) in Havana, Cuba. Her shorts This is My City (2011), Gloria (2011) and Crepusculo (2010) have been exhibited in Calgary, Havana and at the London International Documentary Film Festival.
